How to Get Loans For Caribbean Medical School Through Walden University

If you are looking to get loans for Caribbean Medical Schools I am sure until now you couldn't find any solution. I went through the same thing. I am a Caribbean Medical School graduate and on my 3rd of Clinical Clerkship. While I was doing my basic sciences I wanted to get loans to pay for the tuition. I called up so many American companies who usually offers loans to the American medical students but they rejected me because of being with Caribbean Medical School. Basically, American federal loans are not available for Caribbean Medical School. But there are ways you can still get loans for the Caribbean medical schools. Now you might ask how is it possible to get loans?

Well it is easy. I signed up for the Online Master's program through Walden University. All of their assignments are sent through online and you basically submit them through online also. You don't need to go to classes. That's the Master's part. Now since Walden University is part of the American Education Board, you can apply for loans just like an American Medical School. Usually they offer 3 semesters per year. You can take as many classes as you want but I would recommend take only one class per semester. This way you will be able to focus on your medical school's studies.  Now you might ask how hard is it? It really depends on what classes and programs you are taking. I would say sign up for a easy program like Master's in Health Administration or Master's in Sociology. These are easy programs you will be easily getting A's. Most of the assignments are usually writing assignments. Now if you don't like writing don't get discouraged. Think about it. You will be able to get loans to pay off your medical school's tuition. So it's worth the hard work.

So, once you are accept how do you get loans? Well, I will say if you take 1 class per semester then their tuition per semester would be around $1500 to $2000. But you can apply for the maximum loan per semester which is around $10,000 to $12,000. You can easily pay for the Master's program and keep the rest to pay for your medical school. Application process is pretty simple. It is just like applying to any other American Universities. You can call them up and start your application today. Best of Luck!

Urbana University's Online Master's Program To Pay For Your Medical School's Tuition

Urbana University is another University,  that offers online Master's program. You can attend their Master's program to pay for your medical school's expenses. Many AUA students use Urbana University's Online Master's Program to pay for their school. But, Urbana University is not just limited to AUA, anyone can attend their Master's program. Most of the students sign up for the healthcare management program. The work load is not too crazy. All the assignments are submitted through blackboard so you wouldn't need to go to the campus. You can do all the assignments from your house as long as you a internet connection. Not only that, you will have enough time to study for your medical school. The admission requirements are also the same as other online Master's program. Please see my other posts about the admission process

What I like about Urbana University is that they are open about their Master's program. Which means you can call them up and say that you attend a medical school in Caribbean and would like to apply for the online Master's program. But, I wouldn't recommend you to say that. Just call them up and ask for the application process. As long as you have a Bachelor's degree done you should have no problem applying for the Online Master's program. The acceptance process is very smooth and will take only few days. Once you are accepted you should be able to apply for the federal loans. Once you get the loans, after paying for your  online master's program you will have enough money left to pay for your med school. Good luck with the process!

Loan For Caribbean Medical School Through Kaplan University

Many of you are asking me about which University is good to get loan for Caribbean medical school. Kaplan University offers online Master's program that you can attend if you completed your Bachelors, while you are completing your Doctor of Medicine (MD). They have various online Masters program to choose from. Now, let's say you have your Bachelors degree in Biology, don't go and apply for Master's in Biology from Kaplan University. Remember, you want to pick a easy course so that you can focus on your medical school. Doing Master's in biology will be tough.

I usually suggest everyone to take Master's in Health Administration. I personally took that one and it wasn't too much work at all. Normally, I take one class per semester. They usually have Winter Semester, Spring Semester and Summer Semester. You can actually get loans worth of $35,000 for the total of three semesters, which I think is pretty decent to pay for any Caribbean medical schools. Normally, per semester for the Master's you get around $12,000 worth of loan and Kaplan University per semester will take $2000 from that amount and the rest $10,000 is for your personal expense. I don't really have that much personal expense so I end up using that money to pay for my medical school's semester.

Now, if you don't have a Bachelor's degree then you are kind of out of luck. You will be able to apply for Bachelor's program, it's just that you wouldn't have enough left after paying for the Bachelor's degree to pay for the Medical school. So, I don't suggest this to anyone who doesn't have a Bachelor's degree already. Also, when you call the Kaplan University to apply, please don't tell them that you are from a Caribbean medical school. I don't think it will matter but just for the sake of it, don't mention it. When you apply make sure you choose the Online Master's Program. Once you get accepted, you can apply for FAFSA and other federal loans.

Application process is pretty simple too. All you need is a transcript saying that you completed your Bachelor's degree and a standard exam score. Now, if you have a good GPA sometimes they don't require any standard exams. When I say standard exams, I mean exams like PCAT, MCAT, GRE or any other exams, it doesn't matter what you got on the exams or what program you want to apply for. As long as you just took any standard exam you are good to go.

Good luck with the application process. If you have any questions feel free to ask me on the comment section.

American Universities for Caribbean Medical School Loan

On my last two post I told you guys that I will write about Universities that offer online masters program. I personally use an American University for online Masters degree. The application process was simple since I completed my undergraduate and I took PCAT for my pharmacy school application. My GPA was also high. Overall, they only required me to submit my undergraduate transcript and based on that I got acceptance. After I got acceptance I applied for federal loans through the help of financial aid office. Applying for loan was also simple and then I started my first semester. And within 3 weeks I got my $12,000 loan per semester and I used $2000 of that amount to pay for the University's Master's program and rest I used to pay for my medical school.

The courses are pretty simple. They give you assignment through blackboard and you pretty much submit all the assignment through it. The good thing is, you can submit the assignment from anywhere. Even if you are on the island or in a foreign country as long as you have internet connection you can do the assignments. Teachers are also pretty friendly and helpful. And the good thing is, you can also take extra loans if you need even more. You can always do a simple search on google for online masters program.

Online Masters course or MBA is a great way to pay for your Caribbean Medical School's tuition.

Online Masters class is a great way to get loans for the Caribbean medical school. There are few universities that will let you do the complete online Masters courses on any of your favorite major. Most of these programs and universities are also approved by the American education board, which mean is that you can easily get the federal loans and scholarships. You can also get extra loans through banks.

I said on a previous blog post that, currently I am using the same way to pay for my medical school cost. I am taking Masters in health administration. There three semesters in a year. Each semester I only take one class. I usually get around $12,000 from the loan. The master's university per semester usually charges me around $2,000 for the class and returns me $10,000. And using that $10,000 I pay for my medical school. This is a simple clean way of getting loan for the medical school that are located in Caribbean.

The courses are mostly writing and few math classes. But, they are not as tough as you might think. The requirement for these masters courses is that you need to have a pre-requisite of Bachelor degree plus you must have taken any standardize exam like, GRE, PCAT, MCAT or any other sort graduate exams. Doesn't matter what the score is. Even if you get a very low score you can still get into these program. Some programs will take you without even a standard exams if you have a good GPA.

Lastly, I will say never loose your hopes. There is always a way to find loans for medical schools. For some its easy to get loans and for others its tough. But, it works nicely. In my next few blog posts I will post about the Universities that offer online masters courses. The good thing about these programs is that once you are done, you basically get a dual degree, one for completing your medical school and another is for completing your masters degree.

How to get loans for Caribbean medical schools

Getting a loan for Caribbean medical school can be very difficult. As a medical student I know how hard it is to get a loan. I went to American Global School of medicine in Belize. In the beginning I thought the process of getting loans for the school would be just like getting loans for an American school. I even called up so many loan companies to get loan, but most of them put me down by saying they don't offer loans for Caribbean medical schools. Almost all of them will say that since the schools are not part of American Educational Board they cannot offer loans. This really got me worried since paying for school wasn't something I was used to since I always received full scholarship when I did my undergraduate in Florida.

Most of the Caribbean school per semester charges around $5000 to $20,000 depending on the school that you are interested in. The school I went to wanted around $8,100 per semester. For the basic sciences my dad paid from his pocket but during my clinical clerkship I decided to do something different to pay for the school. In this blog I will post all the possible ways that you can get loans for the Caribbean medical schools.
